Tragic news:  I am devastated to report that the love of my life, Audrey Allenspach-Kok, passed away on 7 November 2020.  She was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive brain tumour on 13 July 2020 after she had a seizure while we were camping.  We were able to spend the summer exploring the area around Calgary and as much as her declining abilities permitted and true to her adventurous spirit she was always up for something new.  Her obituary can be found at My Alternatives Funeral Home.

A short video with a photo collage of our travels around the world by motorcycle is on YouTube.  Click on the photo below to be taken to the slideshow.

In a letter written to me a week after the brain tumour diagnosis Audrey said, "My one and only love, Ekke. Your job is to travel out on your motorbike. What else?"  I will do just that and I will update our website with my travels as I come to terms with travelling without my partner.  In the summer of 2021 I flew to Germany and spent six weeks riding in Europe on my 2007 BMW R1200GS Adventure.  I am currently on a ride to the end of the road in Panama aboard my old 1989 BMW R100GS, just so I can fill in Central America on our wall map.  I will update the website with a section dedicated to the journey to Panama, see below for the link.

January 6, 2022 Update:  Start of the journey to the end of the road in Panama is now up.  Click on the photo below to go to the introductory page of the new section.  I had technical difficulties with the new laptop and was not able to upload to the website while on the road so these chapters are delayed.
